Rick Wastrom, Senior Managing Director with Smith Hanley Associates, has over twenty years of executive recruitment experience. He focuses on searches in both the Broker-Dealer and Investment Management community including Alternative Investment Managers. Mandates have included: Quantitative Investment Research Strategist, Portfolio Managers, Risk Managers, Chief Information Officers, and Proprietary Traders. He has been with Smith Hanley since 1984 and began his career with the Union Carbide Corporation. Mr. Wastrom received his Baccalaureate degree in Business Administration from the University of Vermont.

Jud Smith, Senior Managing Director in the Quantitative Research, Trading and Technology Division, has been with Smith Hanley Associates since 1995. Specializing in quantitative research, trading and technology placements for Wall Street clients, Jud has placed a broad range of individuals from the Head of Systematic Trading through Chief Technology Officer with both buy and sell side operations worldwide. Jud started his career with Concorde Holdings in 1994 and is a graduate of Hobart College in 1993.

Deirdre Kiniry, Director has been with Smith Hanley Associates since 2000. Deirdre has over 20 years of recruitment experience covering a diverse range of searches in the Financial Services Sector for Institutional Asset Managers, Investment Banks and Hedge Funds. Recently she has completed senior level Marketing and Client Service searches for Alternative Asset Management Clients. Other successful mandates have included Sector Specific Portfolio Managers and Distressed Credit Analysts. Deirdre is a graduate of the University of Connecticut..

Alan Stringer is an Executive Recruiter in the Quantitative, Trading & Technology Group of Smith Hanley & Associates, LLC. He specializes in quantitative research, trading and technology placements for Capital Markets Groups within Investment Banks and Hedge Funds.  Alan has 10 years experience working on search mandates ranging from Quantitative Strategist and Traders to Chief Technology Officer and Front Office development and support. Jackson Kiniry is Executive Recruiter in the Quantitative Research, Trading and Technology at Smith Hanley & Associates, LLC. Jackson has previously worked at Sagamore Hill Capital Management. He later started his career as a recruiter at Kindred Partners LLC, Driving CEO, VP and other senior management level searches for venture capital backed technology companies. Jackson is a graduate of Fairfield University.
